Vacation in the Alpine town of Bludenz

Urban lifestyle meets alpine nature

Urban lifestyle meets alpine nature

Bludenz is called an "Alpine town" for good reason: located at the intersection of five valleys and surrounded by an impressive mountain world, it combines an urban lifestyle with Alpine nature. The mountain town is a meeting point for mobile explorers, culture vultures and active sports enthusiasts. The car-free town center, affectionately called "Städtle" by the locals, exudes historical charm with its patrician houses and romantic arcades. Numerous cafés, restaurants and small individual stores invite you to stroll and enjoy. Nature is never far away. From the city, you always have the local mountains in view. A wide range of leisure and sports activities on offer all year round ensures that boredom is never an issue. This makes the Alpine town the ideal starting point for a varied vacation in Vorarlberg.

On the Sunny Balcony of the Region: The Muttersberg, the local mountain of the people of Bludenz

The Muttersberg is not only the local mountain of Nüziders and Bludenz, but is also known as the sunny balcony of the region. The Muttersbergbahn cable car takes you up to an altitude of over 1,400 meters. The Alpengasthof right next to the mountain station is known for its spacious terrace with magnificent panoramic views and offers all guests - whether they are hiking or not - an impressive mountain experience. In addition to numerous hiking options, such as to the Fraßenhütte or the summit cross of the Hoher Fraßen, the Muttersberg also offers plenty of opportunities to enjoy art. Along the "Alpine Art Muttersberg" circular trail, six renowned artists, including Marbod Fritsch, have each designed a station in a very individual way. The resulting works of art in nature represent their view of life in the mountains. Incidentally, the route is wonderful for hiking even when the weather is not so good. And in winter, the Muttersberg is best explored on an idyllic snowshoe tour.
